How we got there:  Metro to Metro Center. It's about a block, if you come out of the metro at the right exit, check the map.

Metrorail is by taking either the Orange or Blue line to the Federal Center SW station. Exit the station, walk north (left) along Third Street SW for two blocks, cross Independence Avenue and continue one more block to Maryland Avenue. Look toward the Capitol and you will see the glass dome of the Conservatory. Best For:  10 and up, especially if they like Beatles music

Rating:  4 stars, I like the Beatles but a lot of kids my age might not care.

Most Interesting Thing I learned:  Old people are really into the Beatles and they can rock out.

Rain - Beatles Tribute

Will I like the Beatles when I'm 64?  There were a lot of 64 year old people that sang that song "When I'm 64"  when they were younger, and now they really are 64 and are still singing it.  The show gives a very good idea of how the Beatles went from being a small band to superstars to still being popular today.  It's not like a musical, it's a concert, they just sing songs.  They have 4 guys to play the Beatles and one guy to play extra instruments.  They showed when the band first started to 10 years later.  The guys were good, but they couldn't always hit the high notes in some of the songs. I thought they were really good guitar players.  They also showed news clips and commercials from the time on screens at the back and sides of the theater, sometimes they would show the audience on the screen.  At the beginning everybody in the band pretty much all looked alike, they wear shaggy wigs, and one poor guy, the "George" looked like he had hair from an American Girl doll. At the end of the show you could see how different the band members became.

  I really liked Rain, but there aren't a lot of kids that know who the Beatles are. Not many kids recognize the Beatles.   I suggest listening to Beatles songs before you go.  Near the end of the show the band was singing "Hey, Jude" and getting the crowd to sing along.  At one point the "Paul" said "Just the people under 18" and it was a really awkward silence because there were like 12 people in the theater under 18.  I tried to sing but was not loud enough to be heard over the old people clapping.

I think I will still like the Beatles when I'm 64.  I will rock out and hope they show me on the screen.

Note:  The Warner theater sells drinks and snacks but has no cup holders!
